Our team layered multiple mats of different sizes and colors to give dimension to the frames and the artwork. They also used our engraving technology to add details to the frame in the first image. Customers can bring in their artwork or images to our retail store and use the expertise of our team to have them create the perfect unique frame for their piece. One of a kind custom ready made frames can also be bought in our retail store.

However, if you’re not located in Cincinnati or don’t have the time to visit our store, you can still get a custom frame! Our website also has a section for you to customize a frame specific to the size, material, mat, glazing, colors, etc. that you’d like. We’re proud of the creative work our retail team does on custom framing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t design a frame on your own.

If you just want a frame to be engraved, we also have a section on our website that allows you to customize your own engraving on a frame. The options for custom framing with Frame USA endless! Whether you want in person help from our creative and experienced retail team, or you want to design a frame yourself through our website, Frame USA is the perfect place for custom framing.

Our New SEO Coordinator with a Fine Arts Background

My name is Tory and I am FrameUSA’s new SEO Coordinator.
Three years ago I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration, and I thought to myself, “Now what?” Throughout all of art school, my professors made it clear that only a small fraction of us would ever have a career in the arts. However, it didn’t stop me from pursuing my calling as a creative individual.

Bonfire      moth

Reality hit after graduation that working as a full time artist takes years of dedicated practice outside of school, and that I would have to use my creativity in other ways. But I’ve continued making drawings and paintings and exhibiting in art shows. I’ve exhibited work in Nevada, Chicago, and in several galleries in Cincinnati. During September 2017, I completed a studio residency in Ontario, Canada.
The ability to express myself and explore my imagination through art making is more than therapeutic, it’s an essential part of myself. I love exploring color, world building, and making characters.

As I started promoting my artwork online, I realized how interested I was in the marketing side of my work. Since I was a kid using dial-up AOL, I have always been fascinated by computers and the internet. After doing a web design project for a client, I was able to quickly pick up on SEO and online marketing. So I have decided to pursue that further with this new position at FrameUSA, while still making art in my free time. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity.

Digital Media – An Exciting Journey

Marketing Guru Seth Godin said it best, “Don’t find customers for your products, find products for your customers.” I truly believe that companies who craft products while actively listening and catering to the customer’s needs are truly the most successful in delivering spectacular products and services tailored to the needs of beloved customers.

Insight Into Our New Inside Sales Representative

I grew up with a total of 10 siblings including myself. My father and mother moved to the U.S after Vietnam just shortly after the Vietnam War. They had nothing coming over, with children already coming over, and more to come in transit. The struggle was real for them, my mother and father did whatever was necessary for us to have a good life and experience nothing but good and wellness. There is not a day that goes by without me thinking of both my parents and what they have gone through. My love and appreciation will always be there for them, even through the argument and disagreements we may have had in the past, I owe everything to them, I mean everything.

I have one word that I remind myself every day, “gratitude.” A word that reminds me, that life is short, those who help you along life have used up their time and sacrifice so much for you to have a life with less struggles. My parents are the ones I owe most, if not all, my gratitude too. And the reason I say most, is because we can go through life solo or we can accept the hands of others and learn from that experience. My mother told me, “Never expect anything in return and always help those who need a hand.” As I pondered her words, I knew what she meant, I understood her words as, I will never completely know the outcome of any situation given in life, but I would at least know the outcome of my choices and how I present myself in this world to others.

Her words kept me to be grateful under any situation, getting cut from a team, failing an exam, not getting the job I applied for. I can’t even imagine the hardship my parents gone through to even give us these opportunities. With this mindset, I know that others go through difficult times to, maybe they are having a bad day and need the moral support. My father or mother didn’t have to tell me how important it is to work hard in life, I believe it’s something you must see and experience first-hand, and I saw it through my parents, even my older siblings. I was given the gift of Choice, to choose what I wanted to do in life and what to experience.

FRAME USA has given me the opportunity to be a part of their team, and I am unbelievably grateful for that. It shows that they are willing to give me a chance as an Inside Sales Representative to prove myself that I am a dedicated and smart worker. I cannot wait to grow within this wonderful company and see where it takes me from here. Thank you FRAME USA.

Frame USA’s 2017 Holiday Party

Christmas Tree

On Friday, December 22nd Frame USA hosted our annual Holiday party to celebrate the hard work every member of the team contributed in 2017! The party was held in the infamous Empower U room which was decked out for the holiday festivities.

In addition to the wonderful decorations, the Empower U room was filled with a delicious assortment of food thanks to our lovely caterers and a few employees who decided to bless us with some desserts.

Food-Collage

Once the food was devoured, everyone participated in a company-wide raffle. The raffle has some pristine gifts such as: an Amazon Echo, virtual reality goggles, an Xbox One, a Kindle Fire, a 12 piece cutlery set and a 50 inch TV among other things.

Prize-Winner-Collage

In addition to the raffle, prizes were awarded to a few individuals who went above and beyond and had exceptional work in 2017. The first award was our Raving Fan Award. What’s a Raving Fan you ask; a Raving Fan is a customer that is more than just satisfied with services and products….they RAVE happily about them.  Raving Fans return to a business because they are thrilled with the service from the minute they view the company’s websites to the minute they receive their product.  Not only that, these customers RAVE about the company and the service to all their friends and family so those people will want to see and experience it for themselves! Jon from the office team and Chris from the warehouse team were the recipients of this award.

Our next award was the Most Valuable Player and our team is so strong that we had FOUR MVP’s! Jenn was Frame USA’s most valuable manager of the year, Jill won the award for the office team and the warehouse team had two winner, Gail and Carla.

Our third award of the night was the Iron Person Award. This was given to someone who was versatile in their abilities to help out at Frame USA and they exemplified great efforts with going above and beyond the call of duty. This award was given to Cathy for the outstanding accomplishments she achieved throughout 2017.

The final award of the night was the Cal Ripkin, Jr. “2,632” award and it was rewarded to Jim.

Learning How To “Day Trade” Attention

Gary-Vaynerchuck-1

From the social media expert and the grand “Poobah” himself, Mr. Gary Vee, “Day trading attention means finding where your audience is and talking to them there. That’s something that everybody can learn from – especially people who use social media and other new technologies designed to help capture audience attention.”

Hello “Inter-webs”, my name is Whitley Dubose, the Marketing Manager for FrameUSA, and I am one of the biggest digital media nerds you will probably ever meet (#ProudOfIt).  To put this into perspective, while other children played outside or hung out with friends, I was always in front of a computer building websites or creating graphics that I’d share with my friends online.

If you could imagine, as I got older, I fell in love with all things digital. I became fascinated with digital media because of how fast it could easily affect someone just by grabbing their attention. It’s so interesting how digital content could make you laugh, make you feel a certain way, and compel you to purchase something. I couldn’t get enough of this “phenomenon” so I took to the “inter-webs” and found Gary Vaynerchuk, better known as Gary Vee.  Gary is a fast-talking New Yorker, “live-for-the-grind,” social media expert who is a humble and very confident individual. In a world filled with greedy self-gratification, Gary often convinces people from all walks of life to “play the long game for the sake of their dreams.”

As the newest addition to the FrameUSA team, I’m very excited about this new Marketing journey in my career. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas with the team to help “play the long game” and to help take FrameUSA’s marketing initiatives to the next level. After all, teamwork makes the dream work, right?

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

form-submission-7464-teamworkisimportantintheworkplace

Vince Lombardi said, “Individual commitment to a group effort: that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work and a civilization work.” His words have great meaning and hold very true in almost any aspect of work and life.

If you have a group of people working individually, not communicating, but working towards accomplishing the same goal that can easilyt result in chaos. Some individuals might be overlapping on the tasks they are doing. Some tasks might get forgotten if Sally thinks Melvin is doing a certain task, and Melvin thinks Edward is doing it, but in the end, nobody has done it.Teamwork is communicating. I believe that poeple working together to accomplish a common goal will always prove higher, more quality, results than individuals not working as a cohesive unit.

Teamwork helps us accomplish results in a more timely manner. Teamwork can be fun, it also can help improve the attitude of the team. Teamwork makes for a better working environment and culture all around. Teamwork can consist of helping people through actions to get the job done, but it also can consisty of individuals lifting other team members up through help and a positive attitude. One small gesutre of help or support can go a long way for a struggling employee, or someone just having a bad day.

I really encourage team efforts on all of the areas I manage. I try to combine efforts of separate teams and make them one. At the end of the day our goal is to create Raving Fans! Every. Sing;e. Day. So in my mind it doesn’t matter what area you work in, I really try to create a culture that we are all there for one another, no single person is left on the island alone.

Like Vince said, if we individually commit to working as a group that is what will make our team work, Frame USA work, or any aspect of our lives. Teamwork makes the team work. Or in my words, teamwork makes the dream work!

Presence, Sales, Marketing & People

“Fantastic actually, thanks for asking…How’s your week coming along?”

“I’m doing well & how about yourself?”

“Just trying to keep it together, and you?”

  Business Relationships

The foundation for any agreement, albeit personal or business, is rooted in the relationship.  Successful relationships are built with good communication, lots of understanding and no false pretenses.  Therefore, being in sales and marketing can be challenging.  You need to know your product (and know it well), believe in your product and be able to convey the value of said product.  You also need to be able to relate to the buyer and depending on their frame reference, cater to their intellectual needs or their emotional needs.  The buyer needs to be confident in your presence of product and/or your presence of person.

Being a person who greatly enjoys the art of communication, small talk seems to come natural for me.  I’m rarely caught without words.  Maybe sometimes this will get me in trouble but usually it brings smiles.

My name is Amanda Dunaway and as the new Sales Representative at Posterservice, I’m really excited about making connections.  The opportunity to convey our product line, with its edgy concepts, is definitely something new for me.  My sales background has always been in regards to emotional purchases; I’ve sold houses/homes and baby photography.  Selling entertaining posters will be unique and I’m super amp’d and ready to rock!  Who doesn’t want to talk about “what’s in”, “what’s tried & true” and “what’s super hot”?

Frame USA’s Annual Halloween Party

On Tuesday, October 31st Frame USA once again hosted it’s annual Halloween party! The party features festive food, snacks and drinks and there is a pumpkin decorating (we’ll call it decorating instead of carving because some pumpkins were painted) contest as well as a costume contest.

The origins of carving pumpkins at Halloween began in Ireland in the 19th century. Originally people hallowed out turnips to act as lanterns and often carved them with obscure faces. Jack-o’-lanterns were said to represent the spirits or supernatural beings (used by people to frighten others),or were used to ward off evil spirits (set in places to keep harmful spirits out of one’s home).

Pumpkins-2

Pumpkins-3

In addition to all these wonderfully decorated pumpkins we crafted, there was also a costume contest which many of our employees participated in. It is thought that wearing Halloween costumes began in Scotland in 1585 with the custom coming from Celtic festivals. Halloween costumes were traditionally based on supernatural or terrifying characters but by the 30’s, costume trend took a turn with more of them being based on characters in mass media, film and literature.

We hope everybody have a safe Halloween and enjoyed it as much as we did!
