of the greatest baseball cities in America: Cincinnati, Ohio, the home of the Cincinnati Reds. If you’re a baseball fan, you know that the Cincinnati Reds had one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports, The Big Red Machine. In the 1970’s baseball greats such as Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, and Tony Perez (among others) came together to win five National League pennants, and two World Series titles! Wow, what an accomplishment! But I’m sure you’re asking, what does any of this have to do with picture frames?

Well, we have an equally great team in place here at Frame USA. Just call us The Big Frame Machine. Only instead of winning pennants and World Series titles, we’re working hard every day to create raving fans. Any customer who logs onto the site to purchase any of our American-made products can be sure that a lot of time and care will go into each order; you’re going to have a team full of Peter Rose’s and Joe Morgan’s in our warehouse cutting and assembling your frames, making sure each one is a winner for you. And if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, or can’t decide between one of our awesome wood or metal frames? Don’t worry, just give us a call and your own personal Johnny Bench or Tony Perez (including yours truly) will be ready and willing to get you from first to home safely. We’re always happy to interact with our fans; you’re the reason we get out of bed each morning!

At Frame USA we understand how important the photos and memories you’re looking to preserve are to you. So whether you’re purchasing a poster frame for your kid’s college dorm, buying a wooden frame for your recent family photo, or ordering a set of metal frames to decorate your new office, you can be sure that whatever you order will be a home run. Now go hop on the website and knock one out of the park. Happy shopping!

Frame USA Q & A: Knowledge from an Industry Expert

Frame USA Questions & Answers:

Knowledge from an Industry Expert.

Recently we asked our customers what questions they had about our products, about our company, and about framing in general. We loved the feedback we have received so far because it allows us to know what our customers are wondering about and gives us a chance to help them out. So over the next few weeks we will be answering these questions along with questions our customer service team receives often on our blog. If you have a question or would like to know more about a topic email, Facebook, tweet, call, comment, write a letter, send us a carrier pigeon, etc. (the last two however we do not recommend as it may be quite some time before we receive them!).The point is we love our customers and we love the feedback we get from them because it allows us to cater to them.

So give us some questions to answer so that we can improve your shopping experience and give you some tips and tricks!

A Day In The Life of A Customer Service Rep From an Outsiders Perspective

A Day in the life of a Customer Service Representative from the eyes of an outsider.

Like any other company Frame USA Employees go through training when they first get hired. They spend time with their manager and go through what they are supposed to do day in and day out. Frame USA however has a different training process, instead of having a training day or two day training, Frame USA employees have an entire week of training. They spend time with each department and learn how to do each part of the company. The employees won’t become masters at each process but they will become familiar with it.

This training week comes incredibly in handy when we have employees out of the office, whether it’s for a trade show or for personal reasons. Other areas of the departments can fill in for them if they get really busy throughout the week.

This week we have 2 employees that work in our customer service/sales department out of the office at a Trade Show. This leaves only 4 other employees to man the area. That’s where I come in.

Since my job primarily involves not conversing with customers or vendors and requires me to be on the computer the full day I make the perfect candidate to jump in and help out the customer service sales department while still accomplishing my day to day tasks.

The day of a Customer Service Rep begins like all of the office employees at 8:15 A.M. EST. They spend their morning before we open to customers checking emails from the previous day, processing internet orders that have been placed. Having meetings with their superiors.

Then it happens, the clock hits 9:00 A.M. EST and the phones click on. Some days this is like the stampede scene in the Lion King, silence and then all of a sudden BAM all the phones are ringing at once. Other days there is a steady trickle of phone calls throughout the day.

The Bigger companies that offer a live chat service on their website most likely have a bunch of different teams doing each different part of a CS representative. At Frame USA our team of 6 customer service/sales reps handles it all from live chats, to ordering, to answering shipping questions, and answering billing questions. They do however have help from all areas of the building answering some of these questions.

The same friendly individuals that talk with you over the phones are the same knowledgeable folks answering your questions over live chat.

In between answering phones and live chatting, customer service reps spend their time entering orders from customers as well as outside sales reps. This process although fairly simple can also be challenging, when you have humans entering in orders, you run the risk of human errors happening, for a number to be off resulting in the wrong product being ordered. Frame USA has employed a system to prevent these by having all orders checked over by someone other than the person who entered it.

At first glance, the job of a customer service representative seems fairly easy, but when you get down into the position, as I have this week, you discover that the job of customer service representatives is much more complex. They are the contact to customers. They are the people that can make or break sales. A rude customer service rep, as many of you have probably experienced turns an opinion of the company to a negative one. The job of a customer service rep requires a patient, self-motivating, hardworking individual. Not everyone on this planet has what it takes to hold this position, but in my opinion as an outsider, we have found the 6 who do.

If you would like to give a shout out to one of our reps that have helped you we would love to hear from you, Just leave a comment!

Stay tuned next week as one of our 6 talented CS Reps gives an actual account of a their day.

Life Hacks: Frame USA Edition Part Two

Last week we posted the first part of the life hacks that we provide to our customers and as promised here is part two! We hope that these will serve you well as the holiday season approaches:

Frame USA’s Life Hacks

Life Hack #6: We offer wholesale Prices!

This one is kind of a no-brainer. We value our customers, so when we find one that is planning on ordering only large orders of picture frames, we want to reward them for giving us their business. The only thing they have to do is fill out our B2B form. Once they are approved, they will see a brand new list of pricing for all of our products!

Life Hack #7: We make it easy to save big.

It’s safe to say that our picture frames are inexpensive high quality products, but we love our customers, so we give them numerous opportunities to purchase our products for even lower prices. The best way to stay up to date on our products is to sign up for our email newsletter. (we promise not to bombard your email  with useless information) If you by chance love to see and read useless information, well you should check out and follow our social media pages. Not only do we post sales that are exclusive to our followers but we give you insight information into our company!

Life Hack #8: Have a problem? We’re just a chat away.

Just because we’re an online business, doesn’t mean that we aren’t here for you. Our team of customer service agents is here to help you solve any problems or answer any questions that may come your way about our website, or our products. On top of being a critical part of the company these agents are available via live chat (accessible on our website) to help make things easier for you, don’t hesitate to reach out them during business hours (9AM-5PM est)

Life Hack #9: Track your order easily online.

If you’re one of our more active customers, you may be familiar with our tracking system, and you may hate it, well we have heard the complaints and we listened to you and have updated the tracking system. Although it’s not as real time as the Dominos pizza tracker, we’re pretty happy with it and we hope you are too! You are now able to see just what stage of production your order is using our ‘Track My Order’ feature. Not only is this available for our customers that order picture frames online, we have also made it possible for customers that place orders over the phone to use this feature (ask your agent about this the next time you call in!).

Life Hack #10: We will give you 110%

I bet you’re scratching your head about how exactly this is a life hack for you, but trust us it is. Think about your worst shopping experience ever, was it the company’s product that angered you or was it the service you received from that company? More often than not a company that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth did so by giving you awful service. Not only do we all want exceptional service all the time, we expect it and when a company doesn’t deliver they end up on our list of bad companies.  At Frame USA we’re different from your everyday company; on top of creating amazing high quality made in the USA Picture Frames, we are dedicated to creating what we refer to as “raving fans”. Raving Fans are our repeat, loyal, and happy customers. At Frame USA our number one goal is to prove to you why we excel at our work and have you “rave” about our products and services. The employees at Frame USA go about their day with one thing on their minds: how is what I’m doing going to create raving fans. We give our customers 110%,we are prompt, accommodating and understanding; three things you are looking for during the Holiday Season.

Well there you have it, Frame USA’s Top 10 life hacks for our customers . We hope that you enjoyed these and that they have provided some simplicity in your life! Comment and Let us know if you would like this to be a reoccurring theme in which we give you life hacks for things like DIY projects and custom framing!

Here at Frame USA, we love our customers!  We may be in the picture frame business, but our main mission is creating Raving Fans. While we want to help make you a Raving Fan, we love to rave about our customers as well.  We first started working with Creative Notions and THE PAINTSTRO!®  back in 2007. Typogrfx Shows off Typography Art in Barnwood Picture Frames

Typography meets interior decorating: designer Tosha Jackson adds Barnwood Picture Frames to her product line

The trend in typography as an art form is an increasingly popular option for home design and living spaces. The aesthetic shines in a home especially, where a well-designed group of fonts attract the eye and the viewer can take time to read the text.

Tosha Jackson of Turbogrfx makes her living by creating these typographic works of art. The big selling point of her work? Personalization. Customers send in colors they would like her to use, specific words, phrases and even the kind of material that they would like their piece printed on.

We were thrilled to hear from Tosha that she loved our Barnwood frames — not only that, but that her customers loved them! These framed typography pieces are flying off the shelves at her business – and you can see why in the images below. The pairings are absolutely perfect:

Update: Brandi and Jarrod on Posterservice’s “Beer” Poster

“It’s a bear. And a deer. It’s Beer.”

For those who followed our previous post, A&E managed to separate the clip from Brandi and Jarrod: Married to the Job that involved our Beer poster.

In the clip, Jarrod was tasked with making a bar area / game room for his family that met everyone’s needs – the needs of his kids, his wife, their friends… And of course, his own. We think he did an excellent job, and the Beer poster worked perfectly in that setting.

You can see the clip below – be sure to let us know what you think!

Frame USA Sponsors “Tee Off Against Breast Cancer”

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women during their lives — a frightening statistic, considering the cancer’s devastating effects. Whether women experience it directly or help their friends and family deal with the shock, organizations like the Bethesda Foundation are reaching out to help. That’s why we at Frame USA recently sponsored and attended the TPC River’s Bend Ladies’ Golf “Tee Off Against Breast Cancer” event.

The golfing event went to directly support the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Cancer — a center that does far more than raise awareness. All donations go to assist in cancer research, direct medical care for affected patients and general support for those going through this life-altering disease.

It is because of these reasons that we were (and still are) proud to support the above foundations, and plan to do so whenever we can as a company. To learn more about the Mary Jo Cropper Center, click here.

From their website:

As the Tri-State’s leading breast care facility, we provide compassionate and comprehensive services, including screening, diagnosis, research, and the most current treatment options for breast conditions in one, convenient location. Our facility stands out because:

  • We are the only local breast center accredited by the prestigious National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
  • SealOur team provides comprehensive services, including 3D digital tomosynthesis mammography, ultrasound, MRI, breast biopsies, and breast cancer rehabilitation.
  • We have an expert multidisciplinary team involved in breast care and disease treatment.

Raving Fans and Customer Comments

We take customer feedback very seriously here at Frame USA, whether that involves us replacing a faulty order, thanking a customer for their kind words about our services, or… drawing unicorns on a box?

That’s right–one of our more eccentric customers frequently asks for any number of random drawings on their packages, and our team has really had fun with this in the past (we can recall doodles of a dancing penguin and a mummy/pirate duo playing jump-rope).

This time, we had our customer service representative (and talented illustrator) Kelley Kombrinck create the box art for our customer. Needless to say, they were very impressed!

A more detailed view of the illustration. All because of a comment left in the “notes” section of our checkout process!

This time, the customer asked for an elephant to be drawn on the box. Again, Kelley delivered…

Custom Framing and Displays at Wholesale Prices

When you need a custom frame job, we take it seriously — down to the very last detail.

Our customers at City Gear have used our products for quite a few of their stores. The urban apparel store recently requested a large custom order for frames that would be able to “comfortably” fit some of their jerseys and t-shirt brands. You can also see our frames in use on the upper walls, which were poster frames also bought from us!

The recent custom order was particularly interesting, however. Our team was tasked with finding an affordable option to frame their items (in this case, our In-Depth series), add custom D-ring attachments and provide special instructions on how to build exactly what they wanted in their stores. The result was so great, they shared their experience (and photographs) with us.

A full view that showcases both our products and theirs:
