Life Hacks: Frame USA Edition Part Two

Last week we posted the first part of the life hacks that we provide to our customers and as promised here is part two! We hope that these will serve you well as the holiday season approaches:

Life Hack #6: We offer wholesale Prices! 

This one is kind of a no-brainer. We value our customers, so when we find one that is planning on ordering only large orders of picture frames, we want to reward them for giving us their business. The only thing they have to do is fill out our B2B form. Once they are approved, they will see a brand new list of pricing for all of our products!  

Life Hack #7: We make it easy to save big.

It’s safe to say that our picture frames are inexpensive high quality products, but we love our customers, so we give them numerous opportunities to purchase our products for even lower prices. The best way to stay up to date on our products is to sign up for our email newsletter. (we promise not to bombard your email  with useless information) If you by chance love to see and read useless information, well you should check out and follow our social media pages. Not only do we post sales that are exclusive to our followers but we give you insight information into our company!

 

Life Hack #8: Have a problem? We’re just a chat away.

Just because we’re an online business, doesn’t mean that we aren’t here for you. Our team of customer service agents is here to help you solve any problems or answer any questions that may come your way about our website, or our products. On top of being a critical part of the company these agents are available via live chat (accessible on our website) to help make things easier for you, don’t hesitate to reach out them during business hours (9AM-5PM est)

Life Hack #9: Track your order easily online. 

If you’re one of our more active customers, you may be familiar with our tracking system, and you may hate it, well we have heard the complaints and we listened to you and have updated the tracking system. Although it’s not as real time as the Dominos pizza tracker, we’re pretty happy with it and we hope you are too! You are now able to see just what stage of production your order is using our ‘Track My Order’ feature. Not only is this available for our customers that order picture frames online, we have also made it possible for customers that place orders over the phone to use this feature (ask your agent about this the next time you call in!).

Life Hack #10: We will give you 110%

I bet you’re scratching your head about how exactly this is a life hack for you, but trust us it is. Think about your worst shopping experience ever, was it the company’s product that angered you or was it the service you received from that company? More often than not a company that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth did so by giving you awful service. Not only do we all want exceptional service all the time, we expect it and when a company doesn’t deliver they end up on our list of bad companies.  At Frame USA we’re different from your everyday company; on top of creating amazing high quality made in the USA Picture Frames, we are dedicated to creating what we refer to as “raving fans”. Typogrfx Shows off Typography Art in Barnwood Picture Frames

Typography meets interior decorating: designer Tosha Jackson adds Barnwood Picture Frames to her product line

The trend in typography as an art form is an increasingly popular option for home design and living spaces. The aesthetic shines in a home especially, where a well-designed group of fonts attract the eye and the viewer can take time to read the text.

Tosha Jackson of Turbogrfx makes her living by creating these typographic works of art. The big selling point of her work? Personalization. Customers send in colors they would like her to use, specific words, phrases and even the kind of material that they would like their piece printed on.

We were thrilled to hear from Tosha that she loved our Barnwood frames — not only that, but that her customers loved them! These framed typography pieces are flying off the shelves at her business – and you can see why in the images below. The pairings are absolutely perfect:

Update: Brandi and Jarrod on Posterservice’s “Beer” Poster

“It’s a bear. And a deer. It’s Beer.”

For those who followed our previous post, A&E managed to separate the clip from Brandi and Jarrod: Married to the Job that involved our Beer poster.

In the clip, Jarrod was tasked with making a bar area / game room for his family that met everyone’s needs – the needs of his kids, his wife, their friends… And of course, his own. We think he did an excellent job, and the Beer poster worked perfectly in that setting.

Frame USA Sponsors “Tee Off Against Breast Cancer”

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women during their lives — a frightening statistic, considering the cancer’s devastating effects. Whether women experience it directly or help their friends and family deal with the shock, organizations like the Bethesda Foundation are reaching out to help. That’s why we at Frame USA recently sponsored and attended the TPC River’s Bend Ladies’ Golf “Tee Off Against Breast Cancer” event.

The golfing event went to directly support the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Cancer — a center that does far more than raise awareness. All donations go to assist in cancer research, direct medical care for affected patients and general support for those going through this life-altering disease.

We take customer feedback very seriously here at Frame USA, whether that involves us replacing a faulty order, thanking a customer for their kind words about our services, or… drawing unicorns on a box?

That’s right–one of our more eccentric customers frequently asks for any number of random drawings on their packages, and our team has really had fun with this in the past (we can recall doodles of a dancing penguin and a mummy/pirate duo playing jump-rope).

This time, we had our customer service representative (and talented illustrator) Kelley Kombrinck create the box art for our customer. Needless to say, they were very impressed!

Custom Framing and Displays at Wholesale Prices

When you need a custom frame job, we take it seriously — down to the very last detail.

Our customers at City Gear have used our products for quite a few of their stores. The urban apparel store recently requested a large custom order for frames that would be able to “comfortably” fit some of their jerseys and t-shirt brands. You can also see our frames in use on the upper walls, which were poster frames also bought from us!

The recent custom order was particularly interesting, however. Our team was tasked with finding an affordable option to frame their items (in this case, our In-Depth series), add custom D-ring attachments and provide special instructions on how to build exactly what they wanted in their stores. The result was so great, they shared their experience (and photographs) with us.

Frame USA Donates Picture Frames to Charity

Community. Whether you’re a business, a family, a nonprofit or an individual, you are formed and molded by your local communities. At Frame USA, we feel that communities from all across the United States can benefit from a little help here and there; especially when they’re making positive differences in their area. We received this great message from Grace Church after we helped them by donating 30+ Unfinished picture frames:

 


 “Dear Dan [CEO, Frame USA],

I bet that by now you have forgotten about us here in Wisconsin, or at least thought that we forgot about you and were acting like the 9 out of 10 lepers who failed to return to thank Jesus after they were healed. On the contrary, we want you to know that we have never stopped thanking you for your kindness and generosity to Grace Church.

It has taken a long time…. to mobilize the missionaries to send in a new picture, to get the frames stained, to order the vinyl and then to get the authorized person to hang the frames on the wall. … The frames are in a really nice formation, and on two different walls as you leave the sanctuary. One side is for Global missionaries and the other for U.S. missionaries….”

Who is Superframer and Where did he come from?

If you have received any of our recent emails, you may be asking yourself: Who is Superframer and where did he come from? See, it’s kind of a funny story…

Superframer was developed several years ago by one of our own employees, Neil Herrin. Neil, our IT Manager, has always had a love for comic books and action figures. At the time, our Marketing team was considering developing a new website called SuperFramer.com. We thought that this new website needed a face and identity to it. From this concept, Superframer came about! Neil took it upon himself to create this great identity for Superframer and we loved what he developed.

As we started to develop our new Frame USA website in 2011 and 2012, we knew we wanted to add a Build A Frame feature to the site. What is Build A Frame you might ask? Build A Frame allows you, the customer, to choose an image, mat, frame, glazing, and backing all together in a simple ordering process.
We wanted to develop a way for our customers to order everything together, instead of having to continue to order these items on different websites. One of our number one goals has been and will always be to simplify what we do for our customers. We want our customers to love our ordering process, think it is simple, and always want to come back to Frame USA. Raving Fans is what we are all about and our main goal is to make you a Raving Fan of Frame USA!
SuperFramer is the designing force behind our new Build A Frame feature on www.frameusa.com. He puts a name, face, and identity to this feature and certainly adds some fun as well!

Our poster division, Posterservice Inc., is very fortunate to have such a diverse customer base. Music stores, museums, smoke shops, poster distributors, Spencers, college book stores and educational resource vendors all depend on Posterservice for the hottest images in poster printing and publishing.

One service that our customers particularly enjoy is a service offered by Posterservice called plaque mounting. Plaque mounting is a display option that allows you to preserve your image my mounting an image on wood, followed by laminating the image in a transparent seal that turns an ordinary wood mount into… well, a plaque! Chances are, if you’ve visited any home decor shop, you’ll find a great assortment of beautiful art prints inside of a plaque.

Kandy Myny – artist, entrepreneur and our number 1 plaque customer – has used Posterservice for just a short period, since February 2011. In this time she has placed an average of 6 orders a month, each order totalling a substantial amount of plaques. It’s customers like Kandy that any business is proud to serve. She loves our wood mount product so much that it is one of the main items she sells showcasing her beautiful art!

“I am a self taught mixed media artist creating original paintings, collages and reproductions. I love to express the whimsical side of things by using a rich and colorful color palette. My whimsical mixed media style is created using paint, paper, charcoal, and a variety of textural elements to create unique, one of a kind pieces of art. Whenever possible I enjoy using recycled materials both new and old to incorporate into my work. My portfolio includes a whimsical world of colorful neighborhoods and landscapes with trees that resemble lollipops, birds with stilt like legs, owls, quirky homes and girls with inspiring messages.
