From the social media expert and the grand “Poobah” himself, Mr. Gary Vee, “Day trading attention means finding where your audience is and talking to them there. That’s something that everybody can learn from – especially people who use social media and other new technologies designed to help capture audience attention.”
Hello “Inter-webs”, my name is Whitley Dubose, the Marketing Manager for FrameUSA, and I am one of the biggest digital media nerds you will probably ever meet (#ProudOfIt). To put this into perspective, while other children played outside or hung out with friends, I was always in front of a computer building websites or creating graphics that I’d share with my friends online.
If you could imagine, as I got older, I fell in love with all things digital. I became fascinated with digital media because of how fast it could easily affect someone just by grabbing their attention. It’s so interesting how digital content could make you laugh, make you feel a certain way, and compel you to purchase something. I couldn’t get enough of this “phenomenon” so I took to the “inter-webs” and found Gary Vaynerchuk, better known as Gary Vee. Gary is a fast-talking New Yorker, “live-for-the-grind,” social media expert who is a humble and very confident individual. In a world filled with greedy self-gratification, Gary often convinces people from all walks of life to “play the long game for the sake of their dreams.”
As the newest addition to the FrameUSA team, I’m very excited about this new Marketing journey in my career. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas with the team to help “play the long game” and to help take FrameUSA’s marketing initiatives to the next level. After all, teamwork makes the dream work, right?
Vince Lombardi said, “Individual commitment to a group effort: that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work and a civilization work.” His words have great meaning and hold very true in almost any aspect of work and life.
If you have a group of people working individually, not communicating, but working towards accomplishing the same goal that can easilyt result in chaos. Some individuals might be overlapping on the tasks they are doing. Some tasks might get forgotten if Sally thinks Melvin is doing a certain task, and Melvin thinks Edward is doing it, but in the end, nobody has done it.Teamwork is communicating. I believe that poeple working together to accomplish a common goal will always prove higher, more quality, results than individuals not working as a cohesive unit.
Teamwork helps us accomplish results in a more timely manner. Teamwork can be fun, it also can help improve the attitude of the team. Teamwork makes for a better working environment and culture all around. Teamwork can consist of helping people through actions to get the job done, but it also can consisty of individuals lifting other team members up through help and a positive attitude. One small gesutre of help or support can go a long way for a struggling employee, or someone just having a bad day.
I really encourage team efforts on all of the areas I manage. I try to combine efforts of separate teams and make them one. At the end of the day our goal is to create Raving Fans! Every. Sing;e. Day. So in my mind it doesn’t matter what area you work in, I really try to create a culture that we are all there for one another, no single person is left on the island alone.
Like Vince said, if we individually commit to working as a group that is what will make our team work, Frame USA work, or any aspect of our lives. Teamwork makes the team work. Or in my words, teamwork makes the dream work!
A lot of people have questions on the best way to frame a movie poster. While movie poster frames can range in size, the two most common sizes for movie posters are 24×36 and 27×40. Lucky for you, we have a wide range of movie posters and frames for those posters.
First, you need to pick out the perfect poster. Posterservice.com offers a wide range of options, with many top movie poster choices including Super Hero Movies, Star Wars, Terminator and more!
Here are just a few of these great options:
Once you’ve found that perfect poster, you need a movie poster frame.
24 x 36 Poster Frame – This is the most common poster frame size (average poster size) and generally the size that standard posters are made. This is the ideal size for concert and novelty posters to hang around your room or house.
27 x 40 Poster Frame – This is the standard movie poster frame size for typical movie posters (occasionally you’ll find them sized 27 x 41) making it perfect for officially licensed movie posters.
In case you were wondering, all frames can be used to frame posters no matter the type or style. Just remember when your choosing picture frame sizes best suited for your needs, always (and I can’t stress that enough) measure your image first. Our frame sizes are based on inside dimensions, meaning if you have an image that is 8 x 10 and you do not intend on using the mat, you would want to order an 8 x 10 frame. Now if you have an 8 x 10 image and do want to include the mat in the framing process, you have to order a larger frame size to accommodate this.
Grey Picture Frames are hot right now due to their versatility. The color is relaxed and subtle, and it can be dressed up or down depending on how you intend to use the color. Because of this, we’ve brought you two great new options of Grey Picture Frames.
Gray pairs best with:
The Bright and boldness of the red makes anything pop, especially when paired with softer shades.
This provides a more fashion-forward and millennial vibe.
This is a most popular combination because of its energetic yet feminine feel.
This combination is more classic and neutral look.
Regardless if you’re framing a piece of art or a family picture of a cherished memory, the picture is the highlight but a beautiful picture frame is a fantastic addition! Our grey frames are sure to look great on the walls of your home or office, or are a great gift for the ones you love.
October 24th, 2017 is National Food Day in the USA. This day is all about showcasing healthy food and encouraging people to change their diets for the better. The whole idea is to help people Eat Real, which means limiting the amount of pop and sugary drinks, extremely salted foods, factory farmed meats and other unhealthy items and increasing the intake of fruits, sustainable raised protein, vegetables and whole grains.
National Food Day was started in 2011 by The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). The CSPI provides advice and advocacy for a healthier food system by educating the public and pushing for government policies that are enforce what we know about the dangers of the food we intake.
Some of the biggest changes they’re looking to make with Nation Food Day includes:
Keeping junk food out of schools
Reducing the consumption of soda
Reducing sodium in processed food
Ensure accurate and honest labeling on food packages
Decrease the amount of junk food marketed to children
“The typical American diet is contributing to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and other health problems. Those problems cost Americans more than $150 billion per year. Plus, a meat-heavy diet takes a terrible toll on the environment. Eating Real can save your own health and put our food system on a more humane, sustainable path. With America’s resources, there’s no excuse for hunger, low wages for food and farm workers, or inhumane conditions for farm animals.”
So do your part and start today! Eat a healthier dies and put your family’s diet on track for success.

Columbus Day is a national holiday which celebrates the anniversary of Christopher Columbus landing in America on October 12, 1492. It wasn’t until 1905 in Colorado that Columbus Day first became an official state holiday, it later became a federal holiday in 1937. Fast forward 33 years (October 12th 1970) and Columbus Day has been fixed to the second Monday in October.
Recently there has been opposition to Columbus day. Citizens are opposed to celebrating Columbus, as he was someone who brutally exploited, kidnapped and enslaved native people he encountered, as well as the decimation of indigenous people of the Americas from disease and conflict with European colonists.
That resulted in the creation of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, this is a holiday celebrating the native people of America. Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an official city and state holiday in numerous cities across the US with the intention of honoring Native Americans, their history and culture. Indigenous Peoples’ Day began in Berkeley, California in 1992 and later spread to Santa Cruz in 1994 and then to other cities and states in the mid-to-late 2010s.
When doing DIY projects we suggest using our Decorate-it Picture Frames or our Unfinished Picture Frames. These Decorative Picture Frames are perfect for people with that do-it-yourself spirit. Created especially for crafting, these frames can be painted, stained and decorated with ease.
Our Decorate-It Series is an unfinished decorative picture frame with a flat profile that comes in 3 different widths (1.5″, 2″ or 3″). It is created especially for crafting. You can paint it, glue on it, and use a wood burning pen, anything you can think of to decorate the frame.
Additionally, our Unfinished Series is another unfinished decorative picture frame (as the name might suggest). Like the Decorate It, the Unfinished series comes in 3 different profiles, but these are more intricate with some scoops and beveling in the frame. This picture frame could be painted and decorated in a classy way to help enhance the ascetics of your art.
Both our Unfinished and Decorate-It lines have the crafty folk in mind. These are great for both kids and adults alike, but you’ll definitely get your money’s work when you use these as kid’s craft projects. You can use all of your favorite crafting materials to make it, and a trip to your local art and craft store should inspire you to make some great artwork.
Recently, production has been putting a lot of emphasis on cross training employees. Employees are no longer trained just for one job or one line. Now many employees are being trained and gaining the flexibility to perform multiple duties. For example, someone working on the saw might also be trained to fill or shrink-wrap. Now, a filler might be trained to work on special custom jobs which are more complex than their typical line work.
Cross training is smart because it allows employees to be more versatile and fill in when we’re short staffed or an important worker is missing. It also helps people rise to leadership positions by building skill sets. Working a day in a different department allows people to understand the unique challenges faced as an order moves from upstairs, through the saw room, to production and then packing.
In these months of large back to school orders, vacations and saying farewell to our summer help, things have been pretty hectic. Everyone at Frame USA has put in the extra effort, time and dedication to keep our numbers up and make sure orders go out on time. In order to help out on other lines, almost everyone in production has gone outside their comfort zone. Many covered new positions and learned new skills as a result. because people are willing to learn and work together we are all able to meet our goals.
Being willing to learn pays off in many ways. Learning a new skill can get you ready for a new job, such as being a joiner. It can give you more options as well. A filler who helps out on complex orders might end up spending a few days in the retail store to help.
By cross training we’re making Frame USA more efficient and flexible and creating employees that are smart, skilled and able to jump in wherever needed. I want to give props to everyone who has taken the extra initiative to help out and give our summer months a little more vacation time and a little less overtime.
It is important for us to clarify how our sizes work in general. In our experience, these are the most popular and most utilized large frame sizes overall. These large frame sizes cover a wide range and our most popular sizes are:
16 × 20
Our 16 × 20 Picture Frame is a great size frame because you can make it a highlight piece on your wall, or part of a mixture with other frames to form a collage on your wall. Our 16 × 20 frames include an off white mat for an 11×14 image. This option provides just over 2” of matting on each side of your image. This is also a perfect size to go with when using wider picture frames.
18 x 24
This is the quintessential frame size for hanging advertisements in a lobby or venue, or just about any metropolitan area where people can see the image and read the words without having to be directly in front of the poster.
This is the most common poster frame size (average poster size) and generally the size that standard posters are made. This is the ideal size for concert and novelty posters to hang around your room or house. Therefore if you are looking to frame a poster for a dorm room, your office or house, or to give as a gift, this is the perfect picture frame size for you. For those with the “go big or go home” mindset, you may want to aim for this size or larger. If you have a 24×36 or larger poster, we definitely recommend a frame to keep your art scratch-free and to highlight the print as a whole.
27 x 40
This is the standard movie poster frame size for typical movie posters (occasionally you’ll find them sized 27 x 41) making it perfect for officially licensed movie posters.
We hope this article has provided you with all of the information you may need when ordering our picture frames. Remember, if you need any help with your poster frames, please call 800.577.5920 or click here if you have custom framing needs.
